Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt aims to join JPMorgan Emerging Market Bond Index (EMBI) in the coming period, the country’s finance minister Mohamed Maait said.

Inclusion in the index will further boost investors’ confidence in the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), Maait added in a statement on Tuesday.

The finance minister affirmed that Egypt is currently updating the tax and customs systems to improve the business environment in the country.
